OH BOY

what a weekend and week! We went to Tennessee this past weekend to look around. We figured we would go, take a look at the two houses I had set up appointments for hang out with Doreen and Jim and then come home. that way we would have a better idea of what we would fine there. Well, WE GOT A HOUSE!! It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 1 acre of land and the payment is HALF of what we pay now for a 2/2 apartment here in Florida! We are SOOOO PSYCHED!! So anyway, that's great news so, of course as my life would have it - there has to be something to go wrong to offset what just went right. We lost our internet! OMG I was freaking. See, if it's not bad enough to lose internet - which means that Charles can't do his schoolwork and I, of course can't work - but we also lose phone because we have Vonage which runs through the internet. So I have been packing, cleaning, throwing out, designing etc all week. Of which I need to send out a BIG HUG and MANY MANY thanks to my CT MEmber Doreen (aka beachnut999) who has been picking up my slack for me and distributing posting bonuses for my challenges over at Stone Accents. Besides putting up with me and my crazy family (just my family is crazy - not me lol) this past weekend, now she is doing my job for me! THANK YOU THANK YOU DOREEN, my wonderful friend!! Tracy is back!! Yeah, she was on VACATION AGAIN!! Sigh, wish I could do that.... wish I had somewhere to go lol.

Also when I got back and spoke to Pop, I found out that my cousin had her daughter this past weekend too (people do all the fun stuff when I'm not around lol) Woohoo! She is a cutie I hear. Oh, FYI ALL of my family are in NY so I don't get to see anyone very often. We speak on the phone frequently and sometimes send photos but as far as actually being there..... sigh......

Then at the tailend of the angst today I call my Pop, say hi, see what's going on and I get bad news. Sighhhhh. For those of you who don't know - Pop is technically my Step-Father. He has raised me since I was 12 (the poor man lol) and to me, he is my Father. Period. But anyway I digress, my step-sister's cousin was killed two days ago and we are just finding out. He was very bright, had one of those 6 figure salaries, VERY handsome, nice and was 33 years old. He was shot 8 times in the back. They don't know what the motive was, he didn't do drugs or mess around in things that you would think would put him in that type of situation. He was driving his motorcycle at the time but they haven't recovered it. Did they jack him for his motorcycle? I don't think so, one or two shots - MAYBE even 3 - in different areas of his body MAYBE but 8 shots in the back - &*^$#%#!@$ COWARDS - THAT'S PERSONAL. Now some of you may be asking yourself why did I say my "Step-Sister's Cousin" if we are so close. Well, normally I refer to Michelle and Jessie as my sister's but for clarification, I used that term. Also, quite honestly I didn't know him very well. I met him maybe 2 or 3 times and while I found him to be a very nice man, I was not close to him since our paths did not cross very often. My Pop is very upset and my sister is as well. I haven't spoken to her yet but she is the emotional one in the family. I know she is wrecked.

ANYWAY, I know I am behind on things, but please bear with me. I have some new designs to package up and get into the stores, a few sales and what not to set up, my new TEAM BLOG!! Very exciting! I need to get my new challenges together as well besides the laundry, dishes, dinner, packing, weeding through things, organizing (LMBO) everything I need to transfer, cancel etc for the move...... So please just give me a bit and I promise I will make it up to you! I also have MORE QUICKPAGES for you and I will try to get the next set up tonight ok?

A Little of this and that

Makes for a lengthy post LOL.

Well this weekend will be very eventful for us. We are leaving this afternoon to drive up to Tennessee! We are going to look at a few houses there, time to leave the "Sunshine State" (Why do they call it the sunshine state when it rains 300 out of 365 days a year?) We have found a few places that look and sound wonderful and I am so excited at the prospect of living in a nice small town and being back in an actual house. We have been in this apartment for 7 years. I miss watching the boys out in the yard and having my own garden. We figure, if nothing else, we will have a nice little weekend getaway to a beautiful area. Oh and did I mention I AM GOING TO SEE DOREEN!!! Yep that's right, one half of my CT!! BEACHNUT999 her DH and us are going to meet up and look around this weekend! I am so psyched to meet her. It's great when in this day and age that you can "meet" new people that become some of the closest friends you will ever have. The three of us are very close and it seems like we have been friends forever. It might be a little harder to meet Tracy face to face though since she lives in Australia lol. But mark my words, we WILL find a way ;) So, that is what we will be doing this weekend. How about you?

OMG!! It's been almost a WEEK!

Almost a week since I last posted. Oh my, my, my. I am soooo sorry. Things have been insane here. Mega Kit contributions, newsletter freebies, new kits, commercial products, forums, layouts, ARGH!!! Holy Moly, I was up 40 hours just this past week and now I am at it again. I got up at 7:30 yesterday morning and haven't been back to bed yet. I am going insane, I have a milllion ideas running through my head and I can't seem to get them all out fast enough.

Then, let's not forget the things going on here in the house. Charles took his Science Final and we are waiting for his final grade. His teacher said he should be getting a B, but I am not counting his eggs before they are hatched. Then his English/Language Arts Teacher is making me nuts. Now, mind you, she is a nice lady and she is always willing to help. But here's what happened. Charles had been studying for his test and was taking it online when his brother came home and brought his best friend. Well, they decided they wanted to make a ton of noise and Charles started getting angry. I told them three times to knock it off. They would be quiet for a minute or two then start up again. So in between me going in and out to tell them to knock it off and doing laundry - they squealed and set Charles off. Apparently at that time he was scrolling to the bottom of the page because he was getting crazed and was trying to figure out how much more he had to do with the boys yelling. Finally he flipped and I could hear him yell from inside and slamming his mouse. Well.... here's where he really gets angry. As he is in the midst of yelling and slamming his mouse, he hits the submit key. So there it is, he had submitted an incomplete test and it was only allowed to be submitted once. He went quiet so I went in to see what was up and there he is with his head in his hand, I said "What's up?" Without even looking at me he says "I accidentally hit the button when I slammed my mouse" I could barely hear him. He was so mad that he was quiet. Right away I told him to e-mail his teacher. E-mail her and tell her what happened and ask her if she can reset it for you. I figured if she sees that the test was submitted at say 2:50 and she gets his e-mail at 2:52 she will know that he wasn't trying to "get over" and get a second chance to do the test but that what he said was the truth. THE NEXT DAY she e-mails back and says that she is unable to reset it because he started the test and that the only way she could reset it was if he had connection problems.

UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Up till now he has had an "A" average in her class. I didn't even ask how much he got done, cause I don't want to know. It kills me. If he got an "F" or a "D" he's done for. Even all A's for the rest of his class won't give him the "A" average again. So I e-mailed her myself and asked her if there was another test or something he could do to make up for the test. Still waiting to hear. BIG SIGH

John gets his stitches out today. He is all psyched about it. Add to that the fact that he had gotten an "A" on his Math test yesterday and he is one happy boy lol. I am so glad it's Friday. The day's don't really matter to me much since I don't have to leave the house in the morning, but I still get up with everyone and help get them going (well not Alex cause he usually can't wake me up until about 15 minutes before he leaves lol) I will just be happy that I don't HAVE TO get up early tomorrow morning.

OK I have things to do so I can't sit here and bore you with my life anymore LOL. Have a great afternoon, and if I don't come back (or you don't lol) to chew your eyes off again, a WONDERFUL weekend!

Hello! I used this kit to do my layouts for my youngest DS John who was unlucky enough to get 8 stitches his first day of school.
