OK MORE News!

Boy this has really been a week hasn't it? OK well first let me say that if you are looking for any of the previously posted freebies, you won't be able to get them right now. My Host and I are having a bit of a tiff and the site is unavailable. Good thing is I have more sites but it will take a bit of time to get the freebies reuploaded. SORRY!!! WWWaaaahhhhhhh. I will make it up to you ok? I promise.

OK next I would like to let you all know that my store is up and fully functional at Hooked on Digi Scrap (HODS) AND now I am having a sale at both of my stores! Here's the deal:

Go to either DigiScrapCentral or Hooked on Digi Scraps and get 20% off any of my designs from May 1st through May 15th.

Since you are reading my Blog, use this coupon code to get an ADDITIONAL 20% off of your purchases too! MAYFLOWERS07

Now onto one more thing: CT CALL!!

Yep, I have already chosen two wonderful Ladies for my CT but need at least two more. Here's the announcement:

So, if you are creative, fun-loving and a team player send me an e-mail. Be sure to include links to your online galleries so that I can go and check out your work! This call ends May 15th!

Some BIG news!

WOW, what a busy week! I feel like a chicken without a head. ANYWAY.... I have some big news that I wanted to share with you all. I applied to and was ACCEPTED as a Designer at HODS (Hooked on Digi Scrap)! You can already find some of my kits over in the shop there so be sure to check them out! To celebrate being accepted at a second Store I am having a sale! From May 1st through May 15th you can get 20% off of all my items in the store. As a special BONUS for my Blog readers, use the coupon code MAYFLOWERS07 to get an ADDITIONAL 20% off! Also be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a new kit which will be offered EXCLUSIVELY at HODS within the next week or so!

Also, yes there is more lol. This may seem odd to some but I have also been accepted as part of the CT for Carla Ware! I am so excited. She has been great to me since I first came across her and her designs last year and I am so excited that she has accepted me as part of her team. So I am now a Jewel as well! So much to do, such little time!

I will also have one more announcement but I need to do a couple of things first, so be sure to check back to see what my other news is! Have a GREAT Sunday!

OK Feeling better now lol

So I am not as cranky as I was lol. I now have my cigarettes (LOL) and I have some really great news that I want to share but can't just yet. Actually there are 2 great pieces of news but I need to hold onto them until everything is set. Don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched (although their beaks are already poking out of the shells lol)

Some good news that I can share is that my youngest - John - got a 4.5 on his FCAT Writing portion which is really cool! So he has passed that and we don't have to worry about that anymore this year. Did I tell you that Charles got an A as his final grade on Social Studies? Yep he sure did, now we have to rush him through the rest of his work so he can get all caught up and head off to High School with everyone else in August. I have some new stuff hitting the shop this weekend too so keep an eye out for them. They are part of my new Romance Collection. Here are some previews:

Right now I am working on some papers and ribbons and brads etc. This way you can build your own kit instead of having to take everything. They are reasonably priced too so be sure to check them out this weekend!

Gotta go and jump back into my papers so I will cya later ;)

I am really cranky today

And everywhere I turn someone or something else is sprinkling salt on my wounds. It's a Murphy's Law type of day ya know..... I got rid of my old account at Yahoo simply because it was very annoying (not even going to go into that whole thing) and I go back and create a nice new one, and use my stupid hotmail address as the secondary account. Sigh..... I forgot that since yesterday I haven't been able to access that account. I keep getting the page that says that the server which my account is on is currently not available but that there is no problem with my account. Well isn't that just hunky dory? I can't access my dang e-mails now for two days so I can't access my groups or anything. Then we have been waiting for a letter which requires a signature and it came today...... but the mailman was too lazy to come to the door so he left a slip in the mailbox and now we have to wait till tomorrow to go and pick it up. Add that to me not having a cigarette since yesterday and no Adderall for the past 4 days and the toilet STILL overflowing (I have been here for 7 years and it has been doing this the whole time and they say it's fixed but it keeps happening) There's more but I don't even have the patience to go into it right now. Maybe I will try to create some more but truthfully I am afraid of what I will create lol. OH well, hope you are all having a better day than I ;)

How much trouble can I get into?

Well I guess we are going to find out. Now mind you, I never really want to get into trouble, it's always a hassle. But when I do something, like I am about to do now, it always comes back to bite me in the proverbial butt. But hey, you gotta stand up for what you believe in and Freedom of Speech is a beautiful thing. So here goes.

You may or may not know that just a few days ago I blogged about being annoyed because my blog had been marked as a spam blog. I was irritated beyond belief and was wondering why this was going on. I got some bologney about bots being sent out that tagged me. Yeah to that I say "BULL" I came across this nice little newsletter that I get and lo and behold here is the real reason why I got marked. I really had no clue that this was going on. Before you read the article let me just say this: (To the person who reported my blog) Thank you - you moron who apparently has nothing better to do with your time than to try and report other people for trying to make money. I appreciate your determination in trying to make others as pitiful and socially lacking as yourself.

By the way - this article is from April 17th and can be found at WebProNews.

Written by Rich Ord - CEO iEntry Inc

Matt Cutts blogged that Google would like you, the average search engine user, to report on sites you feel are displaying links for cash. This created a firestorm of negative responses from the SEO, webmaster, and free speech crowd. Below, I put together what I feel are the top 7 reasons Google's paid link snitch plan sucks. I linked to my inspirations (No payment requested!).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Editor's Note: Google's Matt Cutts had a busier weekend than he'd planned after setting this fire. The paid links report debate raged on for 250 comments on his blog, placing him in front of his home computer monitor until late Sunday night answering questions and concerns. General consensus: Nobody likes this idea. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Links are valuable because of the Page Rank display in the Google Toolbar. Matt, if Google doesn't like the way paid links influence search results, then eliminate the scoreboard. It's hard to take your call-to-action seriously when you have the power to grind serious link buying to a halt all by yourself.

If people had to guess a page rank, most of their motivation for buying links would go away. Of course, Google won't eliminate the green bar because that is the number one reason the Google search engine is at the top of most web browsers.

2. Most people that post on Digg, or add articles to Wikipedia, or work as editors at DMOZ also send paid link reports to Google to benefit themselves in some way. My point: Anyone taking the time to send complaints to Google about a paid link that hurts no one and may even be relevant, probably has unseen motivations.

One of the problems is that there is no other motivation I can see to report a paid link than to help Google out. It's not like paid links irritate the end user like poor search results do. Therefore, the detection these reports offer will be of no value to Google.

3. It's impossible to define a paid link exactly. Paying cash is obviously what you meant, but is that any different than a link to a client or to a buddy who helped you submit your site to 1,000 free web directories?

If I'm right with that assumption, then it's really about determining motivation. Humans cannot determine motivations any better than the Google algorithm. It's a virtual coin toss!

4. Payment can be proven only by following the money trail. Otherwise, it is simply a case of 'he said, she said.' This creates a heavy burden on Google to be correct in their assumptions.

5. Marketing Pilgrim's Andy Beal asks: "What business does Google have in dictating the disclosure of any business relationships on others?"

Google, you are just a search engine. You should be reacting to the internet world, not trying to recreate it in your own image. Links are not evil and payment for links is not evil. The Web is based on links, link-trading and advertising, which of course is payment for links.

6. The hypocrisy of being in the business of selling links and then asking others not to sell them is a bit much for many webmasters.

7. Is this just a way to cre ate more spending for Google AdWords? Stopping the selling of links will make AdWords one of the last ways to generate traffic from Google. If the link police can slow this to a crawl, then what will businesses do?

So, what do you think about all of this?

OK You need to do this...

I found a very interesting and extrememly sweet article today while making my rounds. If you go here to Jessica Bolton's Blog you will find an amazing story, both sad and sweet. There is an incredible RAK in this post but that is not why you should go there. The kit is called "In Memory of Miles" Go check it out, share some tears, leave LOTS of love and remember....... pay it forward.

Good Sunday Morning to you

So how is your Sunday? We woke up to my oldest son knocking on the door and saying "Tornado warning, I thought you might want to be awake when you die" That's the 2nd (possibly 3rd) one in the past three days. It's only April, so in my book that says that the hurricanes are going to be slamming us this summer. I am really just OVER this whole hurricane thing. Batten down the hatches, rush for water and gas, fight with your not so neighborly neighbors to try and get wood, canned goods, juice and other items. Everything that you have outside, bring it inside, board up the windows. Ick. So anyway, now my youngest seems to think that it's ok for him to go outside even though there is a tornado watch,....yeah.....uh.....no. Fight number one - ding ding. No you can't go out, I don't care if you're going to so and so's house....no.....because you need to be here until the watch is over..... I know it's 5 hours from now.... what do you mean you have nothing to do? PS2, XBOX, 101 books, a computer.....ohhhh... ok CLEAN YOUR ROOM how about that? Back to my room and my computer I go. But Little man has other plans, not 5 minutes later he is in my room, on my bed telling me that he is going out. So I chuckle. Don't say a word just chuckle. That's when he knows. See since I am naturally a yeller the appropriate fear tactic for me to use is calmness. So when I remain calm and chuckle or use that really sickingly sweet tone he knows he's in deep. Finally he just got quiet and layed there staring at the television. Now.... he is asleep rolled up in our blankets ;)

Like I said Good Sunday Morning ;)

Sharing some Layouts

Here are the layouts I managed to get done today:

These first two layouts I did using Nature's Beauty by Shannon F. I had lots of fun with this kit because of it's great colors and elements. This first Layout is called "Feeding the Lories"

This second layout is called "Here there be monsters"

This last layout was done using Marriage Pagekit by Cat Scrap Fever Designs. These photos are from my baby sister's wedding:

that's it for now. I might make a few more tomorrow, not sure yet what will come my way. I am trying to finish up three more kits for the store. Maybe a few FREEBIES too (insert evil grin here) Have a great night!

BLOGGER ON MY NERVES

My Blog got marked as a potential Spam Blog???? Are they nuts? This is what I found when I clicked the little question mark - and then had to do another stupid word verification to get a human to check out my blog to make sure it wasn't spam:

The same classifiers are used to require an extra word verification field on the posting form for potential spam blogs. This makes it harder for spammers to set up automated systems to do their posting, since a human needs to complete this step.

Then after I do this stupid stuff I get this message:

Your blog requires word verification
Blogger's spam-prevention robots have detected that your blog has characteristics of a spam blog. (What's a spam blog?) Since you're an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false positive.

We received your unlock request on April 12, 2007. On behalf of the robots, we apologize for locking your non-spam blog. Please be patient while we take a look at your blog and verify that it is not spam.

First of all if they thought it was a spam blog why did they not just come and check it out on their own? Why do I have to go in there and tell them it's not spam. I mean, they want to get rid of spam blogs so go in and check them and if they are coming back flagged as spam blogs they can then delete them or whatever. Excuse me if I am a busy person and like to Blog, I thought that was the point. Now mind you I am not complaining about the people who work at Blogger but the policies they have there. The policies get set and the people have to follow them, but I am really busy (as they can tell lol) and I don't have time for more delays and annoyances. OK I am done prattling lol. Carry on..........

Plain Pastel Papers Freebie Part III

Here are the matching plain pastel papers. Might get a whole Mega kit by the time I am done. I've already started putting together a few elements to go with these papers ;) As always, just click on the preview to start the download. Please don't share the file or the links with anyone but rather send them here to my blog to download them ;) As always, a little love is always appreciated, especially if you download. Have a great day and enjoy!

Did you have a nice weekend?

I hope you did. After I was done with being sik (icky lol) things ran pretty much the way they should. This was our first Easter without my ex in-laws but I am not even going to go into that whole story. So we had a nice quiet day at home and I did something a little different. Instead of making a big meal with leg of lamb and potatos etc I made a big breakfast lol. We like to do that every once in awhile, usually on a Sunday. Home made French toast, eggs, bacon etc. It was nice and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. Why not, they were already hyped up on all the candy lol. John went to his friend's Grandmother's house for a few hours and they all had a good time. I spoke to my family in NY both of my sisters and my Pop, I miss them but it's nice because we speak just about three times a week or so. Everytime Charles answers the phone here they hesitate because he sounds like a grown man lol. His voice is so deep they think they have the wrong number. He sounds nothing like Alex so they don't even think it's him lol. Then of course, I worked on a couple of kit items last night. I was bouncing around doing different things because I wasn't in the mood to just confine myself to only one genre. I find that sometimes if I just let myslef play around with shapes and colors I can get a pretty decent set of items either started or completed.

OK, now what is the deal with having to type in a word verification when posting now on Blogger? This I find really annoying. Why do I have to type in a set of letters to post on my own blog? I hate this, it's really annoying.

Think I'm in the mood for a freebie ;) How about you?

Click on the image to begin your download. As always, a little LOVE is appreciated, especially if you download this ;)

I hate being sick

but I am. I can't deny it or shake it off anymore. Blah, I have one of those tummy things. Right now I am just at the "Who hit me with that truck and did anyone get the license plate number?" stage. Still a littl queasy too but not bad. But I will think that I will spend the rest of the day in bed being bleh lol. I have to run and get a couple of things for Easter for the boys and then, I am done for the day.

This little pack of stickers will be available in the Scrap Shop before the weekend is over - and just in time to still use the 50% off Coupon ;)

Have a good day, I need to post your freebie and get to the store and back so I can be lazy the rest of the day! LOL

Oh yeah, it's a rant BellSouth/ AT&T BITES

Uh huh, check this out. For those of you who don't know these people have been messing up my account for a dog's age and finally they disconnected me on February 14th (yep Happy Valentine's Day) Check out this portion of the bill that I got today online (I have e-mail notifications sent)

BellSouth Charges $32.95 as of Mar 29, 2007
Local $0.00 View Section

Long Distance ---

Internet $32.95 View Section

Wireless ---

Current Month's Charges $32.95 as of Mar 29, 2007

Total Amount Due $199.90 as of Mar 29, 2007 More Info

These people are on crack, they really need to put the drugs and/or alcohol aside and pay attention. I have NOT had any phone service since February 14th (for which they gave me an incomplete credit of $54 for 4 weeks)NOTE they did not charge me for telephone service BUT they charged me for internet service! You can't have internet service without freaking phone service. So now they owe me another $32.95 off my bill PLUS they owe me for the February bill which bills for February 28 - March 29th which is like $120because AGAIN they double billed me for internet service. Conveniently the bill from March 1 is not available to view...? (insert raised eyebrow emoticon here) I owe them about $40 or so dollars and I told them I am not paying anything until they make the proper adjustments to my bill. So now, since I got the e-mail after 7:00 PM, I have to call them in the morning and ask them just how stupid do you have to be to be a BellSouth/AT&T representative. I mean is it a prerequisite to work there? Do you HAVE to be an idiot or is it just a bonus if you are one before you start working there? Do they train these people to be stupid, or is it a natural talent? I'm really curious because this is just about the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life. I know, I am being nasty and probably boring you to tears (if you have made it this far through this rant lol) but for crying out loud, when is the government or somebody going to grab these turkeys by their wattles and verbally and monetarily smack them around until they shape up? I have since gotten Vonage and have internet through the cable company - so for those of you who think you are stuck with your own current telephone atrocity - never fear there is a way out. OK going to drop this now.

On the upside, Alex's interview this morning went very well and he is hopeful so we are keeping our fingers crossed. And I am sending out a very special thanks to my dear friend "J-MB, Esquire" a very dear friend of mine who has been lighting the way for us. MWAH!
