DAZ DEAL you can't miss this one!!

"We asked you to look forward to a big promotion this week and here it is! We have compiled 100 DAZ Original items including over 60 popular Published Artist items that have recently been acquired and turned into DAZ Originals. We’re letting you (Platinum Club members) vote to decide which ones go on sale as Platinum Club items throughout the week. We call it our Member’s Choice sale. Vote today in the Member’s Choice Poll and select the product you’d like to see go on sale tomorrow, then check back tomorrow to see which items are in the top 10 most popular and purchase each at the $1.99 Platinum Club price for one day only. The 10 items that go on sale that day will drop off the list and go back to normal pricing when the sale is over. Then, vote from the 90 remaining items for the item you want for $1.99 the next day, and so on through Saturday. Five days of Platinum Club pricing with 10 items each day. "

Holey Cow!!! I just got 4 items out of the 10 available for today $7.96!! The regular price on these items? $298!!! The only reason why we didn't get the other 6 is that we already have them lol. You can get Hexagon 2.1 Download for $1.99 Today only, tomorrow the deal is gone!!

The Dog Bundle and the Horse Bundle we already have but I finally got to snag the Safari bundle WOOHOOO. It's normally $80 and even with the 30% discount, it was still a little steep for me - but today for $1.99, I SNAGGED it lol. I really love DAZ, they are always good to their customers and still have the personal touch. If you don't have a Platinum Club Account with them you need to get one really it is waaayyy worth it. And as always DAZ Studio is FREE!!!!

New Freebie!! Silly girl!

Yep, I was making one kit and suddenly made something by accident and went off on a tangent lol. This is the result. I thought it would be a great little kit for that special teen, or even a goofy adult!

SORRY THIS LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED. Look for it in the DSC Bargain Area coming soon!

Please remember to leave some love if you snag this kit. Also, please send people to my blog to download it, no file sharing please. OK, you know the routine, click on the image and the download will start! Have a good one!

Movie Quote Challenge, Chats, Sales & More

Yep that's what I said MOVIE QUOTE CHALLENGE. Around here, whenever things happen, we always quote a movie. Like when we tell the kids something 10 times and on the 10th time they give us that look like they are surprised we said it. One of us will usually say (in our best Joe Pesci voice) "You were serious about dat?" (My Cousin Vinny) Or when the kids play dumb - who can remember Vinny Barbarino? "I'm so confused!!" or "Who? What?" Where?" I know you must have a ton of them like we do (even if you don't use them on kids lol)

So here is your mission - Come up with one of your favorite quotes and incorporate it into a LO. Be sure to add the journaling somewhere in it which tells us which Movie (or tv show is ok too) Who said it etc., Of course extra journaling is great too to tell us what is happening in your LO that is symbolic of the Quote.

Come on, let's get going and see all the great things we can come up with!!

Of course, there is a prize to be had here as well!

Also be sure to check out the SKETCH CHALLENGE I am hosting and Lynncal is hosting the COLOR CHALLENGE!

This Friday night at 11:00 PM EST is a Chat with Rhonda! "It's Gotta Be Almost Spring"

Enableem's 50% off sale ends today and so does my 30% off sale! Better Hurry.

There are also new kits in the SCRAP SHOP, more challenges, more fun..... Come by and join us!

SORRY THIS LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED.

OK Probably going to disappear

Like I don't have enough aggravation already. STILL having problems with BellSouth. I even got an apology letter for them mistakingly disconnecting my service...yada yada yada, yet still since February 14th (Yeah Happy Valentine's Day my eye) Anyway, we have been disconnected from the internet now at least 7 times in the last hour sot his may be my last post. As of right now we are scrambling to get Charles work up to the Virtual School and then to get some freebies up here and hope fully the Girl Version of Paisley Boy into the Scrap Shop over at DSC. Ugh I have done a ton of LO's but if I do disappear no one will see me in DSC or over at GoDigital, sorry am working on it. There is a ton of other aggravations going on too but I won't getinto any of that. My main concerns right now are getting Charles work uploaded and trying to get some more kits freebies and not - uploaded before my internet goes the way of the Dodo. Oh btw did I mention that I haven't gone to sleep since I got up yesterday at 11 am? Yeah so..... it looks like it's going to be another night like that because I obviously need to work. Anyway, hugs all, have a good night and if you have a drink - have one for me too ok? LOL (Preferrably a Frozen Margherita, no salt double shot of Jose Cuervo Gold ;) heee hee)

NEW KIT IN THE SCRAP SHOP!!!!!

Did you like the Paisley Boy QP? Well the Kit is in the Scrap Shop at Digi Scrap Central NOW!! Oh and by the way, my 30% off sale is on now and includes Paisley Boy. But this sale only lasts until Tuesday!

More Layouts!

Wow I am on a roll today. Busy busy busy. And that really is amazing considering I messed up my 3D program yesterday, lost 50 GIGS of content (well not lost I have backups but you know what I mean) ugh and sigh. Anyway here are the layouts from today:

Stars & Stripes by Chari Originals I used this to scrap a letter written by my great-grandfather regarding ... of all things ... hair tonic. Unfortunately I forget exactly how the story goes, if he really believed it worked or if he was doing a friend a favor lol.

Nature Walk by Laura Pitman These are just some of the wonderful Critters around our home. This was fun to do, nice little change of pace. I did this one for the ABC Challenge going on over at Go Digital Scrapbooking.

It's Raining Men by Shannon F This one is self explanatory. I got lucky getting this pair of photos last week. They really are soooo different in so many ways, but down deep, they are still brothers - and alot more alike than they care to admit ;)

Two more Layouts

I did two more LOs last night and got them posted. I was really into LOs last night and still want to do a bunch more. There are alot of photos that I want to get scrapped so I can get them printed and also make slide shows onto dvds so I can send them to my family in NY. It's been over 3 years since they have seen the boys (and they haven't seen me since I lost the 56 lbs! LOL) Anyway here are my latest Layouts.

I called this Layout Rare Species lol. It is a photo of Alex actually relaxing - you won't find another like it lol. And this photo was taken last year! I made it with my kit "Alex's Asian" Yep it was named for him and I made it for him because he loves the Asian look. Anywhere here is this one:

This one I had fun with too. I made this LO using Cottage Picnic by Shannon F (I just LOVE her 'happy kits" as I call them!) These are just photos of my boys when they were little playing outside. I have a ton of these types of photos that I really want to get scrapped. Here's the LO:

Of courseyou can find these kits at DIGI SCRAP CENTRAL

Be back in a bit, I have a bunch of stuff lined up for today!

Two new Layouts

So I am finally getting caught up ... or at least I think I am lol. Here are two more layouts I did this week.

This LO was done with Debra Anderson's Lions Share I had fun with this kit. I LOVE the puzzle pieces don't you? And the colors are awesome! You can grab this kit over at Go Digital Scrapbooking

This next LO I did with Tropical Weave by Enableem and it is available at DIGI SCRAP CENTRAL. I love the colors in this kit and thought it would be wonderful for these photos of Charles and his Dad. It's still a little hard to scrap photos of my ex DH, but it's therapeutic and I know that the boys enjoy seeing the LOs I make for them.

Gotta go for now, I have a bunch more I want to do and maybe a couple of more freebies too! Did you notice the Babies and More Freebie a couple of posts down?

Absolutely insane

Yep, that's me. I spent half the morning trying to make a blinkie, everytime I did it, it kept coming out lust over 19k ARGH. I deleted layers, shortened time etc drove me nuts, finally I got one that I like. Now I have to change my other blinkies because they are out of proportion according to the sizes I need. At least I finally - pretty much - have it down to a science now lol. Argh. What else, well, I am on my 9th load of laundry since Saturday evening and have at least 8 more to go. Yeah, I found them ALL in My youngest's room on Saturday when I spent 5 hours trying to clean it -- it's still not done >:( Blankets, clothes, his brother's clothes all thrown around - then finally piled on empty plactes of food, pudding cups, food wrappers etc., nails, screws, asstd tools, toys, ARGH A veritable treasure trove of crap! OMG what a mess, and that's just in the matter of 10 days. Now the rule is, you don't go out or go online until the room is back to the way it is supposed to be. No more of "PLEASE, I will do it when I come back. So and so is going here or there and won't be able to come out tomorrow" TOO BAD. Life is tough. A little mess I can understand but that was just disgusting. Some stuff I didn't even know what is was when it started. ANYWAY, so I finished 1 blinkie, did a little of my new kit for the store, did laundry and that's about it. Now I need to make another blinkie - actually 2 and make my rounds again over at DSC and finish up the Mega Kit for March. Then I can go make dinner (insert rolling eyes emoticon here) I will have another freebie just have to sort through them still, I am debating what to give out next lol. CYA l8tr

Anyway I have been crazy - I know what else is new lol - doing layouts, packing up freebies and getting my March Mega Kit contribution together. Here are a few of the layouts I did:

I made this one with the Boy oh Boy kit by Lynne Simmons. I Love the stitching and great colors she used to make this kit:

I used Summer Surf by Shannon F for this kit - Isn't it great? Give me a good beach/summer kit and I am ready to go!

And yet another of her great summer kits Summer Fun with just a touch of her kit - Flower Power

Of course all of these kits can be purchased at DigiScrapCentral ;)

Enjoy!

He Knows me soooo well....

OMG Those of you who read my blog fairly regularly know that I have been beating myself to death trying to actually build a curly ribbon. With both of us being unemployed outside of the home, I didn't want to spend the $$ to get AV Bros or Vizros etc. We also weren't getting each other for Valentine's Day because we have other obligations which take precedence. Well you know what this sneaky monkey did? He bought me AV Bros PAGE CURL 2.0! Problem was he was walking around yesterday all depressed and I kept saying what are you upset for, it's really not a big deal. This morning, just a little while ago he tells me I have spam (which means he dropped something into our shared file) I say ok, took my time because I was working on another kit. He's eyeballing me sideways (he sits about 7 feet off to my left at his desk). So I save what I am doing and go into the shared folder. At first I didn't see anything new, then BOOM! There it is in a nice little folder with AV BROS Page Curl MWAH! I squealed like a pig! LOL He is SUCH a sweetie and he knows me so well. I can get flowers and candy anytime, if you give me something, give me something I can use artistically and I am happy! He got me my Wacom for my birthday last year, so he knows lol. So I am off to use my new gadget (insert evil grin here lol) Wait.... what's that? I smell a FREEBIE coming on!! LOL

Cya!

OMG I can't believe it!!!

WOOHOO!!! This article can be found at MSNBC-Politics-Rudy Giuliani News - I found it on the MSN Homepage, clicked the link and yelled "YES!" I might actually vote in 2008!!!

"Giuliani confirms he’s running in 2008
Former NYC mayor, a moderate Republican, joins pool of contenders

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a moderate Republican best known for his post-Sept. 11 leadership over his city, confirmed Wednesday his intentions to run for president in the 2008 elections.

Giuliani made the announcement during an appearance on CNN's "Larry King Live." He had filed a statement of candidacy earlier this month with the Federal Election Commission and filed paperwork for an exploratory committee in November.

"Yes, I'm running," Giuliani told King. "I think I can make a difference. I believe this country needs leadership." "

There's more to this article you can find it over at MSNBC.

OK it's cold

Just a warning that this is a ramble - nothing really important to say. Maybe it will give you a chuckle, maybe it will bore you so read at your own risk. I promise nothing lol.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the cold? I do, really, despise it. When I lived in New York I traveled the subways to and from Manhattan, up and down flights of stairs, in and out of stations, on platforms with the wind whipping around the buildings and to coin a phrase "Packed like lemmings into shiny metal boxes". Back then I wore 3 inch heels all the time with my suits and I hated carrying my shoes with me, getting into the office and running around for an hour or two before being able to take off my sneakers and socks and putting my shoes on so if at all possible I traveled in my 3 inch heels. GOD Forbid it would snow and or sleet, hail etc. Trying to walk through the snow without falling and not only hurting yourself but getting wet and very possibly muddy. At that point, depending on your time frame in proportion to the time frame of the port authority and Mass Transit system, you would have to decide, is it worth it now to try to run home, change and start out again or do you cut your losses and just continue on to work and hope that your boss doesn't actually have the audacity to be annoyed because you are looking like a street bum. Late trains, no trains, broken down trains, overpacked trains, late buses, or even worse EARLY buses that you don't know came early until you realize that you are standing in the snow/rain/sleet for over 20 minutes now instead of 5-8. Of course there are always the crazy people who are actually insane enough (and rich enough)to take their cars into Manhattan and they drive by and hit either a pothole or nice icky puddle and are kind enough to splash some of it on you, and giggle as they drive by. For this (back in my day straight out of school) you got paid $21,000 a year $25,000 if you were out of College and depending on your degree etc etc. But of course that was pretty good money for back then so you really couldn't complain UNTIL you subtracted the $14 a week to travel, the dry cleaning bills, lunch, the aggravation factor and the COLD factor. The way I figure it I was underpaid by about $50,000 a year. If it gets below 70 degrees I will get goose bumps. I am a native New Yorker, I'm Italian and Irish grew up primarily in Brooklyn, walked - literally - 8 blocks to my elementary school, and almost 2 miles a day to High School. I lucked out with Junior High it was around the corner lol. We wore leg warmers (ugh Flashdance flashback lol) boots, jeans and Pea Coats and it was STILL too dang cold for me. So anyway, I grow up have my own kids, figure I would rather have them dodge hurricanes than bullets and we move to Florida. I figure it's a two sided bonus here. The boys get a better life and I get to be WARM!! No more cold, freezing days and lots of sun. It's the Sunshine State right? Obviously some idiot named it because it rains at least once every 3 days and during the summer it rains EVERYDAY at least once a day usually twice. To boot, I get up this morning after having left the windows open cause we LOVE sleeping in the fresh air and I am shivering to the point that I wouldn't take my arm out from under the covers to grab the nice, big, hot cup of espresso Alex was holding for me. He just sat there and giggled and made funny faces at me. On top of that my youngest, John comes in to kiss me goodbye as he leaves for school and he has decided that the quickest way to fix his hair is to grab handfulls of water from under the faucet and throw it into his hair, use his fingers as a comb and throw some gel in it which has obviously not been worked through. He leans over to kiss me and drips ice cold water onto my face. As he stands back up I look at his shirt and am about to tell him to tuck it in (they have to wear uniforms - polo shirt and khakis and a belt) when I notice that his shirt is inside out. How the child gets his shirt on and buttons one button without realizing it, I don't know. This child also doesn't feel the cold as bad as the rest of use so it's really a chore trying to get him to put on at least a sweater, neverrmind a coat. Before he is out the door with Alex, Charles (my oldest) stops by the room to say hi and whines - in his best "I'm going to be 14 in 3 weeks voice" "Mommy.... it's cold! It's so cold....Mommy" LOL So anyway, that has been my morning so far, how was yours? LOL

ARGH Again with the phone company

OK I knew it was going to be one of those days when I got up this morning but I was really hoping I was wrong. Nope, once again, to my dismay I was right. Firstly I needed to call my bank because I have a creditor who loves to randomly make charges against my account without my approval. I wanted to call the bank because I have 11 charges on my account but it doesn't say who from and I just know it's them. I try to call and by the time I hit the 3rd number it starts that annoying ding ding ding "We're sorry but your call cannot be completed as dialed" (insert raised eyebrow emoticon here) I redial, figure maybe there's a glitch somewhere, it happens. Nope I dialed 4 times, then my son (ya know the type he'll be 14 in three weeks which means he knows it ALL) dials it himself cause he's like "Nuh uh, dial this number" (insert ANOTHER raised eybrow emoticon here) I go online to check my bill and yeah it's fine. It has all of my payments credited, new bill just came out and is not even due yet (PLUS they need to take off $36 again because of the double billing thing they have been doing to me) So now I can't call the bank I will have to go there and spend the time in there instead of doing it over the phone while I multi task online. Add that to the other 9 errands I have today - yes literally 9 other places I need to be. John and Charles both have outgrown their sneakers and John broke his glasses AGAIN! Plus there is the rent to pay, electric food shopping etc. Every second wednesday of the month is insane for me. So anyway, I digress, now I have submitted an online request for repair because as I told them and you already My bill is paid wth is the problem? ARGH. On top of this Alex is walking around looking like a sad puppy because he couldn't get me anything for Valentines Day. Do I need this? I don't care, we are broke lol If we had a bunch of money and he didn't get me anything that would be another story. I'm happy to have him, I love him, my kids love him, he loves me, he loves my kids - we're together - that's good enough for me. Everything else will come later. We're lucky we can pay the bills -- and apparently even when we pay them we don't have service! LOL ARGH argh and double argh. Ok that's enough lol. Gotta go rip out some more of my hair and do the other million things on my list for today.

It's Valentines Day and Sigh... yes I changed my background

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

Wow it got here before I knew it. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and get's to spend time with their loved ones. I'm sure they will be many new engagements today and roses to be had :) Not here, but somewhere lol. It's ok, I'm still happy, we are together and with the way things have been going the past 6 months, we are happy to still be together. We figure if we can stick together through all of these maniacal ups and downs (which have been mostly downs) then we can make it through anything. LOL.

Well although I had a bunch of compliments on my background here at my blog, I also had a few comments that people couldn't read the posts with the background. So I have elected to swap it around. I think it works now, posts are readable but I still kept the basics of my original background. I hope you all still like it.

Sometime later today I will be posting all of the info for this week. There are sales (Including mine which I already posted lol) and FREEBIES and challenges and oh my! Talk to you later!

Layouts this week

I have been working on LOs but it takes a little bit to get them together and then get them posted so I am going to start this post with the first LO I completed and add them as I finish them lol. So this will definitely be an edited post.

First, this is a GREAT kit that I used from Kristmess. It's called Bon Voyage and is available at DSC. I used it to do the lo for my Grandparents on their cruise to Alaska (at least I think it was Alaska lol I can't remember since they went the year before I was born LOL) I had such fun with this kit. Anyway, here's the LO:

I have a couple more to finish up and then I will add them!

***EDIT TO ADD NEW LAYOUT***

OK here's the next one. I used Barking Made PageKit by Chari Originals. Isn't this just a great kit? I LOVE the richness of the papers in this kit and the embellishments are sooo cute! Here's the LO:

CYA in a little bit lol

Hazel Freebie!

Ok here's another Freebie for you! See? I told you I would have more, just with my life the way it is, I am never exactly sure of when I can get things done. But I desperately need to regain my 200GB external so I need to start getting this stuff off of it! LOL This file is just about 42megs. I figured that since I had had so many nice comments on this QP which I had made for my niece that I would share some of the pieces with you. Included in this minikit are:

The Original QP I made and used
2 Background Papers
1 Journal page
2 Sets of Alpha 1 set in honey and 1 set of flowered with bonus symbols and hearts ;)
Two butterflies
The flower drape used at the top of the QP

Now for those of you who don't know, I complained about alphas being put on a single page and having to cut them out. Well I had my eyes opened as I was told that sometimes people prefer to have one sheet open rather than a bunch of files. So, I have done the alphas - each set - on it's own page.

You know the routine - click on the image to download. If you think someone else would like it, please direct them here to my blog to download it - don't share files. Just one more little thing I would like to make mention of - copying someone's work, even if you change the color and make it larger or smaller or "tweak it" in any way .... it's still piracy and copyright infringement. Enough said, here's the Preview and the download ENJOY!!

SORRY THIS LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED

February Mega Kit Preview

Here's a sneak peek at the February Mega Kit - Forever!!

Get ready to come to DSC and get your pieces of this great MEGA KIT!

Freebie - Finally lol

Whoopsie... I see that it has been a little while since I gave you all a freebie. I MAY put up a few more later on.... not promising I have learned better than to promise almost anything lol. So anyway, these little cuties have been sitting in my folder for awhile now. They are what I call Window Clips. I was messing around with styles and making borders and trims and came up with these. I added the little elements inside and figured I would make a few different types. This freebie has my beige clip which has a golden tree inside, a green clover clip and a red flower clip. As usual just clip on the photo to download. PLEASE remember if you download to leave some love and that if you think your friends would like this Don't share the file send them here to my blog to download them!

Enjoy! Remember to check back for another freebie SOON (That's all I say is soon! lol)

OK What's your opinion?

There are a few things which really make me nuts. One of them is when I get a kit and all of the elements or alpha are on one page. I HATE THAT! I don't want to sit there seperating out the items I want to use. I'm sorry but I like to be able to look at the items and go bada bing -- done, it's on my LO and that's it. I hate having to go in with the magic wand or rectangle, circle ---whatever - and have to "cut out" the element I want to use. That just seems lazy to me. Anyone else feel the same way? I just made two sets of alpha and numerals for my new kit and I made each letter an individual png. Is it just me or do you prefer seperate as well?

The Doll Palace

This is the little girl I made at The Doll Palace. Dress Up Games, Doll Makers and Cartoon Dolls @ The Doll Palace

I had no intention of really making anything or signing up for anything etc., I had been having one of those days (actually one of those lives but who's counting? lol) So I started going around just putzing and I came across this site. OMG I spent almost an hour and a half there (actually my window is still open for it lol.) there are a million and one things to do in there. I never knew how much fun one of these little places could be. I went in and took a look around and as I said I wasn't going to sign up for anything so I just started with no account - nada - not even the free one. I went in and made this little girl up top. The title is off but that's my fault - wasn't paying attention to the numbers. The doll builder is so easy to use, pick the head, the body, the bottom accessories etc and put them together. You can adjust the size of the entire image so that it conforms to what you want from the beginning. Change the color of the font background and border - no border - no font - no colors etc. HOLY COW! Then when you are all done save your girl and you can save her as a png, save her as an avatar, for MSN for Yahoo for forums.......I wasn't even logged in and I saved one of her for three different things! So I said ok, let's see how much they want to get you for to sign up for premium. $2 a month! $22 for the year, That was just too cool! There are a million different girls and combinations like these:
Dress Up Games
Plus alot more. They also have the ability to allow you to upload your own pieces and dolls, they have albums, horoscopes, old categories include Blondes, Brown, Red, Goth, Black, Holiday, Guys, Couples and Animated dollz etc etc etc I just made the cutest little CandyBar Doll. Geez, I actually went back in while I was typing this lol. Go over and check them out if you need anew avatar or just love to play with these little cuties! They have boys too so you can make a couple if you'd like! I have to go now - I might never go to bed at this rate!!

Yes I have been MIA LOL Here's Why

I have been absolutely insane trying to find out how to make a curly ribbon. As some of you may or may not know VIZROS is no longer free so I haven't bought that. I keep hearing how there are tutorials out there on how to make a curly ribbon but I have searched up and down and have found absolutely nothing for PS7. So I spent ALL DAY today - well most of it - trying filters and then trying to adapt the filters to make a curly ribbon. I have every filter going I think lol. I have page curls, distort this, distort that, ALF, CPK, etc etc, you name it I probably have it. Finally I thought about making a cylinder and trying to change that, maybe cut it in half, flip it over then erase portions of the top layer on an angle to reveal the layer below but that looked more like a candy cane than anything else lol. Finally I thought well how about tear or rip? That's the filter that makes it look like a weave almost - weave is a little different depending on which plugin you have lol. Anyway so I did it on a cylindrical shape. Then I sliced the slices it made - already on an angle and seperated them. Then remerge, duplicate layer and flip horizontal and vertical. Adjust, adjust, scale, distort etc. Once they were position I merged them and used Liquify to seal each twist and then to bubble it so it looked rounded. A little clean up - VERY little clean up do you see the time I am posting this? lol and VOILA! This is what I came up with.

Now I realize it's not sellable but for "building it" by hand (as it were) with no actions to make it save for Liquify which I still had to do by hand, I don't think it's too bad LOL. Or maybe it's really horrible but because it's 1:47 am it looks pretty good! LOL Oh well.

I had started another post yesterday but never got to finish it lol. Maybe it will get posted sometime this week. I have been busy with Charles getting with him for his Geography and Language Arts. I swear it's like pulling teeth sometimes .... ahhh that story is in the other post I had started that is still in Draft lol. Night!

***To answer Erin's question - I am allowed to sell it but I feel that it is very choppy around the edges. At this point this one would take a bunch of cleaning up. I am very happy to have finally figured out at least one way to make one - even though it did take me several hours to finally figure it out lol. Maybe the next one will go faster but for now I am just going to be happy that I "broke the code" for now of curly ribbons lol. I just know that now someone will tell me where a plugin or tutorial which is much easier can be found LOL!!
